ACES Campus Store purchases textbooks year round at our Alfred location (we do NOT buy back textbooks during the first three weeks of every semester and the week before exam week of each semester).

The best time to sell back textbooks is during the last week of every semester. It is during this time that the store purchases textbooks that will be used here during the next semester. Textbooks that we have received book orders from the professors (i.e. they have commited to use the textbook during the next semester) are worth more money to the students. Textbooks that aren't being used on this campus, and have market value will be bought back for a wholesaler who then sells them to other campuses.

The next period that we will be buying back textbooks that faculty have commited to use is:


MAY 3 - MAY 6     10:00 to 2:00

at the Wellsville Campus Store

(After 5/6, the Alfred Store will be buying back until MAY 14th)


If you can't get to either store: SELL YOUR TEXTBOOKS HERE!!

We recommend that if you live near the Alfred campus, it is best to bring the textbooks that you want to sell to the bookstore. We buyback textbooks throughout the year (with the exception of the first 2 weeks of every semester). The best time to sell your textbooks is at the end of every semester (typically during finals week).
