Students who are taking strictly on-line courses should order their textbooks from this site. There is a link to the left that provides you with helpful information with regard to ordering your textbooks for your classes being taught on-line.
We recommend that students who are taking classes here on campus purchase their textbook at the appropriate campus bookstore. There are a number of reasons why you should purchase your books at the bookstore:
- We pull your textbooks for you, all you need to do is bring your schedule to the store and we do the rest. We do not pre-pack and reserve textbooks. It has been our experience that this significantly slows down the process and reduces available used books due to the number of pre-packed orders not picked up. Students still have to wait in lines to get their packages.
- Long waits and long lines are a thing of the past. While there are still lines at the start of every semester, the typical wait is 15 minutes or less.
- Since we pull the books for you, we reduce the anxiety of which book to purchase. Additionally, you see the textbooks before you have to pay for them (is it in the condition that you want, is at a title you already might have, does it come with important pieces like access codes or CDs, etc).
- Our staff is available to assist you.
- If you need to use deferred funds to pay for your books, we have the systems in place at the store to accommodate these special forms of tender. These dollars are typically put into either a Billable Financial Aid account or a Campus Spending Account (CSA). These accounts are not activated until the day students move in, there would be no time to ship your textbooks in a timely fashion.
- We do not ship to dorm rooms, these shipments would have to be routed through the campus mail system, the student would have to be contacted by the campus mail room to pick the package up, with the potential for delay/loss or damage, it would still be more convenient for the student to come into the store.
If you still would rather have your books shipped to you, make sure that you use a credit card and give yourself at least a week before you move in.
WELLSVILLE student should purchase their textbooks at the WELLSVILLE BOOKSTORE on the FIRST DAY of classes. Wellsville departments stress the need for students to be prepared on the first day of class with their TOOLS and UNIFORMS/Safety items. In Wellsville, faculty typically review with the students what their textbook needs are during the first day of class, and provide time on the first day for students to go to the store and get their books.
